LED Lighting

ledlightingTHEATRICAL LED LIGHTING AND TOWERS CAMPAIGN

CAMPAIGN FUNDRAISING GOAL: $22,000

In keeping with the green development plans at Topia Arts Center, we plan to use LED lighting for the theatrical and house lights. LED lights use only a fraction of the power needed to beautifully and colorfully light the areas of the performance space. Four vertical towers will be erected on either side of the audience to light the fabric sculptures as well as the entry way and seating and performance ways.

In our ongoing effort to innovate and inspire in all of our endeavors, we here at Topia Arts Center are seeking $22,000 in Online Arts Funding from you – the members of our community – to help cover the cost of purchasing and installing the LED Lighting Towers. We recently received a grant from the Berkshire Taconic Foundation’s Barrett Fund that covers just about half the amount we need!

Join is in making the space ready for the groups that want to use the theater. This is a chance to get directly involved. To support us in our fundraising goals please review the following entitlements and contribute as you see fit in exchange for a much more rewarding and modern fundraising experience. In addition to other tax benefits, 10% of all purchases automatically goes to the Keeping the Lights On fund and is tax deductible.

Symphony of Carpenters – A unique event

June 12th, 2010 both professional and lay carpenters shook bags of nails, hammered, sanded and did a variety of choreographed sonic events to a live audience. Soon, with the help of volunteers carpenters, the extended stage will be built thanks to the support of all of our participants, volunteers and donations.
