TOP HAT CAMPAIGN CAMPAIGN FUNDRAISING GOAL: $78,000 Topia Arts Center is building a completely green Performing Arts Center. One of the most important components of this new green performance space is core sustainability which means making the building energy efficient. In our ongoing effort to innovate and inspire in all of our endeavors, we here at Topia Arts Center are seeking $78,000 in Online Arts Funding from you – the members of our community – to help us cover the cost of purchasing and installing a new roof insulated from the outside. To be clear – Topia Arts Center is offering you the unique opportunity to become part of our growing community. We are offering you the chance to get directly involved. A big part of our concept is to keep the doors open as we continue to realize the world-class theatrical design by Theatre Consultants Collaborative. At this concert the Extended Stage and Performance Platform construction will be completed during the concert. This offer must be redeemed by June 5, 2010.

$150 Soups On Cooking Class Level Support Topia Arts Center at this level and receive a one of a kind free cooking class from Jeanne Matthew of the Stone Soup Cafe at Topia Arts Center. The Cafe at Topia opened in February 2005 with a guitar-shaped bar designed by Greek artist, Stella Sarianidou. A beautiful, sculptural facade designed by Architect Dana Bixby was completed in the spring of 2009 with a grant from the Town of Adams facade program. Jeanne Matthew currently runs the cafe as a family business and calls it Stone Soup. The menu includes delicious local and organic food offerings and fair trade coffee.

$500 Movement Made for You Level If your New Year’s resolutions lean away from couch potato but jumping on a bunch of machines at the gym doesn’t quite resonate, Caryn Heilman, one of Topia Arts Center’s founders, can help you navigate the fitness terrain with three fitness coaching sessions that focus on what will work for you. Draw on Caryn’s experience with modern dance (10 years with the Paul Taylor Dance Company), Ashtanga yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi, Aikido, ballet and her own LiquidBody movement which is based on the pioneering work of Emilie Conrad’s Continuum Movement. There can so be gain without pain and Caryn can get you there without having to “feel the burn”.

Symphony of Carpenters – A unique event

June 12th, 2010 both professional and lay carpenters shook bags of nails, hammered, sanded and did a variety of choreographed sonic events to a live audience. Soon, with the help of volunteers carpenters, the extended stage will be built thanks to the support of all of our participants, volunteers and donations.
