Symphony of 100 Carpenters

Watch an excerpt fron the Symphony – Marafanyi Percussione

June 12, 2010 7:00 PM

On June 12, 2010 both professional and lay carpenters shook bags of nails, hammered, sanded and made other noises in Topia Arts Center’s new performance space. Inspired by Douglas Henderson’s Music for 100 Carpenters, this “constructive” community art piece doubled as a live performance. The show was a percussive symphony with the Carpenters performing a variety of choreographed sonic events to a live audience.

June 12th, 2010 both professional and lay carpenters shook bags of nails, hammered, sanded and did a variety of choreographed sonic events to a live audience.
